LAWRENCE R. DUKE

Lawrence Duke joined the firm following his esteemed clerkships at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where (by popular demand) he clerked for Judges John Tyson, then Richard Dietz, then Wendy Enochs, and finally with Philip Berger, Jr.  Following in his father Judge W. Russell “Rusty” Duke’s footsteps, Lawrence carries on a family tradition of practicing law.

During law school Lawrence excelled in Moot Court and Trial Advocacy, achieving various awards and publication.  He also worked with several North Carolina Offices of District Attorney, assisting with various hearings and trials.

Prior to practicing law, Lawrence worked for Senator Richard Burr, serving as his Legislative Correspondent.  Lawrence also has experience in small business, as well as real estate.  He is currently active with the Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools (FOCUS).  When not working, you can find Lawrence at home with his lovely wife Margaret and two young children.
